Hi, my name is John, I'm the owner of the company and I grew up with a heart for beautiful real estate.

It all started with my mom, who was an Art teacher, who made the designs herself to renovate our victorian-period home, back in 1989. And as much as she loved to paint or draw, it was in this renovation that she found her true passion: Renovating buildings, architecture, interior design...

This passion, which she passed on to me, was the reason I entered the real estate business back around 2005. After many years and mostly by accident, I had my first AirBnB adventures around 2015 and discovered quickly that the welcoming of guests was, for me, a good way to share my passions in life: To provide guests with a temporary home that gives them a positive energy, that makes them want to look at & touch the objects, that inspires them, that sparks up their vacation.

That's the first key ingredient of renting one of our rooms: Beautiful rooms that provide these feelings of happyness and surprise.

The second key ingredient is an authentic feeling of being welcome and personal sharing. There are of course many automatisations in place to make your stay as comfortable as possible, but apart from that, I am always personally reachable and reaching out to guests. I guess that's the AirBnB experience in me talking : A genuine interest and sharing. It's why, for example, apart from a 'standard' list of restaurants that I advise, I'm often sharing my latest discoveries, or that time when a couple of violin builders came to visit Gent and I could tell them about a great Gent-based violin player, or the guest who's car broke down and I could help him by calling my personal garage owner who's like this really authentic guy at a 3rd generation garage passed on from father to son.

For some it may be just a business trip, but for many it's their holiday, and that shouldn't be a 'standard' experience, it should always have a spark to it.
